Big beds with comfortable sleeping arrangements provided a good night's rest. A nice breakfast buffet offered a variety of options to kickstart the day.
Street noise from the busy road outside made for a less-than-ideal relaxing environment. The lobby felt somewhat dark, and the room lacked adequate lighting. The bathroom featured a high tub wall that posed a bit of a challenge when getting in and out.

Leeuwarden is a fairly small town so it's easy to walk everywhere, so the location was fine. Breakfast is excellent, staff was friendly, rooms are spacious.
It was definitely not cheap... there are more economic choices around.

Good location across from rail/bus station and close to city centre; good food, and the balcony with our room was a nice addition.
Minor niggle, but the soap dispenser in the shower was empty on our arrival.

The Oranje Hotel in Leeuwarden offers an really good breakfast with ample choices, including a variety of fruits and healthy options. The location is unbeatable, directly across from the train station and just a short walk to the city center. My room was pristine, with a comfortable bed and thoughtfully decorated. The lighting in the room could be better. It felt quite dim, especially for reading. The lack of English-speaking TV channels was a bit disappointing. The parking arrangements are convenient but limited, so arrive early if you're driving. Despite these minor flaws, I'd definitely return for the breakfast and prime location.

The only complaint was the room was small and it was directly over the restaurant. Chairs were being moved all night long.

lekker stay in Leeuwarden 🇿🇦
Big room with space for all our gear, and the Nespresso machine was a lifesaver for morning coffee! The staff are just so friendly, always keen to help. Plus, walking to the centre was easy, super close to everything!
The bathroom layout was a bit awkward, getting in and out of the tub was a mission!

I found the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly, with any inquires as I am english speaking only. The my room was large enough with a sitting area..with fresh linens as requested. The hotel is centrally located , so was easily found when venturing out by foot. If I were to travel again I would stay at the same hotel.
I would like to see a small selection of specialty food choices on the menu and buffet for people that have sensitivity to certain foods or milk, perhaps a question to be incorprated in the reservation questions.

Right across the station it is really conveniently located. And still it was a calm and quiet place, we had a balcony and slept with the doors open. The foyer offers you a wide selection of newspapers. The Rituals amenities are wonderful.
Two disadvantages: 1: no bathrobes. 2: wifi and concrete walls don't go well together. The hotel is aware of this and if you have a laptop you can use LAN. Cable is provided. If you have wifi only gadgets, sometimes it works. It always works in the foyer.

The entire hotel is beautiful and the rooms were upscale. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a lot to choose from for only 15 Euros. And the location, right across from the station, is perfect.
The only thing I didn't like was the relative lack of English channels on tv, and the movie order service did not work. But those were small things.
